Community group buying platform Otipy raises $10.2 million in Series-A funding
Jul 20, 2021 10:46 AM

Community group buying platform for fresh produce Otipy has raised a Series-A financing of $10.2 million by SIG. Omidyar Network India, Innoven Capital and existing investors Inflection Point Ventures, Pravega, and Factore also participated in the round.

Otipy's farm-to-fork delivery model optimises for freshness by procuring directly from farmers and delivering fresh produce to consumers in less than 12 hours. To talk about the road ahead, Startup Street spoke to Varun Khurana, founder & CEO of Otipy.

Also watch Starup Street in conversation with Utham Gowda, founder & CEO of Captain Fresh who spoke about the company's $12 million Series A fundraise. Captain Fresh is a tech-enabled B2B seafood marketplace that procures seafood directly from the agents and farmers, and supplies to general trade, modern trade and online channels.

Moreover, Startup Street spoke to Ajeet Khurana, founder of Genezis Network, to understand what's causing the crypto fall. Cryptocurrency market cap has halved since hitting its peak this year. Investor trepidation and regulatory uncertainties have forced Bitcoin below the $30,000 resistance level after touching peaks of over $60,000 in April.
