05:46 PM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Community Health Systems ( CYH ) and Denim Health said late Monday they have formed a partnership to implement conversational artificial intelligence in the Community Health Systems Patient Access Center.

The technology is initially being used to authenticate the identity of callers and gather more information to assist agents before transferring callers to Patient Access Center agents.

Additional potential use cases include using conversational AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to enable patient self-scheduling, the companies said.

Community Health ( CYH ) shares were up 3.9% in after-hours activity.
