Community Health Systems Says Chief Medical Officer to Retire

05:42 PM EDT, 09/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Community Health Systems ( CYH ) said Wednesday that Lynn Simon, president of Healthcare Innovation and chief medical officer, will retire from her executive position at the end of the year and transition into a consulting arrangement from Jan. 1, 2025.

Under her consulting agreement, Simon will advise the company's management team on healthcare innovation and also help identify and facilitate new partnerships, the firm said.

Miguel Benet, executive vice president of clinical operations, will become the company's president of clinical operations and chief medical officer from next year, the company said.
