04:55 PM EDT, 03/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Compass Minerals ( CMP ) said Tuesday that it reducing its corporate workforce by 10% and closing its fire retardant business, Fortress North America, as part of cost-saving efforts.

The actions will eliminate nearly 50 positions, according to the company.

Compass Minerals ( CMP ) said it expects run-rate cost savings in the range of $11 million to $13 million for the trailing 12-month period ended Dec. 31, 2024.
