10:58 AM EDT, 06/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Conagra Brands ( CAG ) will complete the removal of certified food, drug & cosmetic colors, or FD&C colors, from its US frozen product portfolio by the end of 2025, the company said on Wednesday.
The company said that it will not offer products with FD&C colors sold to K-12 schools by the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, as it continues to modernize its portfolio.
Additionally, Conagra is also working to discontinue the use of FD&C colors in the manufacturing of products across its US retail portfolio by the end of 2027, the consumer packaged foods company said.
FD&C colors are synthetic color additives that the US Food and Drug Administration has approved for use in food, drugs and cosmetics, according to the FDA web site.
