04:50 PM EST, 02/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- ConocoPhillips ( COP ) late Friday said Canadian regulators have exempted it from continuous disclosure and other reporting obligations rules that publicly traded companies are required to.
ConocoPhillips ( COP ) became a reporting company under Canadian securities law after closing its all-stock acquisition of Marathon Oil on Nov. 22, 2024. It was subject to report financial updates, resource estimates and other disclosures with securities authorities in Canada.
The exemption decision by the Alberta Securities Commission will allow ConocoPhillips ( COP ) to meet its reporting requirements in Canada by issuing similar filings it typically makes with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to Canadian officials and its sedarplus.ca database.
