ConocoPhillips Pick of the Week at Smart Insider Following Directors Stock Purchase
Dec 31, 2024 3:22 AM

06:09 AM EST, 12/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ConocoPhillips ( COP ) was Smart Insider's stock pick of the week after the company's director Arjun Murti bought $240,000 worth of ConocoPhillips' ( COP ) shares at $95.87 apiece on Dec. 20.

This was Murti's first stock purchase since August 2016, and the "highest" price he has ever paid for shares, which increased his ownership by 15%, Smart Insider said in a note Tuesday.

Additionally, director R.A. Walker also bought $1 million worth of ConocoPhillips' ( COP ) stock at $97.8 apiece, that raised his ownership by 30%, according to the note.

Smart Insider said that Walker has been a "rare" buyer and "seeing this confident purchase from him and Murti's first purchase in 8 years is interesting."

Smart Insider ranked the stock +1, or strong positive signal, on Dec. 23.
