10:17 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Consol Energy's ( CEIX ) shares were down nearly 8% Tuesday morning after the Francis Scott Key Bridge, a major commuter bridge in Baltimore, collapsed after being struck by a container ship.

Consol's Baltimore Marine Terminal is used to load coal into large ocean-going ships in the area.

Due to present port conditions, Seagirt Marine Terminal at the Port of Baltimore will halt receiving exports on Tuesday, port authorities reportedly told Bloomberg.
