Constellation Energy Makes Proposal to Invest in Power Generation Projects in Maryland

10:29 AM EST, 11/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Constellation Energy ( CEG ) said Tuesday it has made a proposal to invest in up to 5,800 megawatts of power generation and battery storage projects in Maryland to meet increasing demand.

Constellation said it has submitted proposals for battery storage and gas generation projects to the Maryland Public Service Commission as part of a program to fast-track permits for energy projects.

For the long term, the company said it has proposed a range of nuclear investments, including a plan to explore building new nuclear power plants in Maryland.
