05:30 PM EDT, 05/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Constellation Software ( CNSWF ) said Monday afternoon its first-quarter profit and revenue rose year-over-year.
The company earned US$140 million, or US$5.44 per share, in the period, compared with US$74 million, or US$4.95, a year ago. FactSet expected US$20.60 per share.
Revenue stood at US$2.65 billion, compared with US$2.35 billion a year prior. The company said that the increase was mainly driven by acquisitions. FactSet projected revenue of US$2.76 billion.
The company also declared a dividend of $1.00 per share, which will be paid on July 11 to all common shareholders on record as of June 20. The dividend is classified as an eligible dividend under the Canadian Income Tax Act, it added.
Constellation shares closed up $16.58 to $5,130.01 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
