09:23 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Contango Ore ( CTGO ) has completed the acquisition of HighGold Mining, the companies said Wednesday.

Under the terms, Contango issued roughly 1.7 million of its common shares to HighGold shareholders for an exchange ratio of 0.019 a share of Contango for each common share of HighGold, the companies added.

HighGold President and Chief Executive Darwin Green joined Contango's board.

The firms also added that HighGold's shares are expected to be delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange after the market close on Thursday.

The deal was first announced in May.
