08:05 AM EDT, 06/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Copperleaf Technologies ( CPLFF ) said Friday that it received an interim order from the Supreme Court of British Columbia to conduct a special shareholders' meeting to consider Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS AB)'s proposed acquisition of the company.

The virtual special meeting is scheduled Aug. 2 at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Under the deal, which has the unanimous backing of Copperleaf's ( CPLFF ) board, IFS AB will pay $12 per share in cash.

Shareholders of record as of the close of business on June 25 will be entitled to vote at the special meeting.

Copperleaf's ( CPLFF ) share price closed yesterday at $11.85 on the TSX.
