10:42 AM EDT, 09/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Coppernico Metals ( CPPMF ) Thursday said initial surface channel sampling at the Nioc target of its flagship Sombrero copper-gold project in Peru returned high-grade mineralization. The stock was last seen up 12%.
The company reported 52 meters of 1.06% copper, 0.19 g/t gold and 1.20 g/t silver, and 36 m of 1.10% copper, 0.32 g/t gold and 3.44 g/t silver. Coppernico said the results provide an early look at the potential scale of a second major skarn system within the project, while exploration has continued without incident since inception.
Chief Executive Ivan Bebek will present at the Precious Metals Summit Beaver Creek Conference on Sept. 11, followed by a series of additional conferences through early 2026, the company said.
Coppernico shares were last seen up $0.02 or 12% at $0.185.
