COPT Defense Properties Acquires Land in Iowa, Building in Texas

05:08 AM EDT, 10/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- COPT Defense Properties ( CDP ) said late Monday it acquired a 365-acre land parcel near Des Moines, Iowa, for $32 million to expand its data center shell program.

Additionally, the company said it purchased an 80,000-square-foot building in San Antonio, Texas, for $17 million.

The building was vacant at the time of acquisition, but COPT Defense has secured two leases with the US Government to fully occupy the space, which is expected to begin in Q2 2025.
