09:30 AM EDT, 09/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Core Scientific ( CORZ ) said Friday it is providing a 30-day extension to CoreWeave for the remaining option to contract 118 megawatts of infrastructure for high-performance computing, or HPC.

CoreWeave has so far contracted a total of 382 megawatts of infrastructure to support HPC hosting operations at different Core Scientific ( CORZ ) data facilities, the digital infrastructure company said.

The 30-day extension offer is intended to accommodate design, supply chain, and construction timeline development activities, Core Scientific ( CORZ ) said.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.
