10:37 AM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CoreCivic ( CXW ) said Monday that Patrick Swindle has been appointed president, in addition to his current role as chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1.

Swindle will succeed Damon Hininger as president, while Hininger will continue serving as chief executive officer and a board member, the company said.

Swindle, who also currently serves as executive vice president, joined CoreCivic ( CXW ) in 2007 as managing director of treasury and has held various positions in the company, according to the statement.
