09:47 AM EDT, 03/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Corning (GLW) said Wednesday it has obtained the license to Prizm TMT optical ferrule technology from US Conec to expand its portfolio of optical connectivity products used in artificial intelligence data centers.

Financial terms were not provided.

The optical connectivity provider said the technology supports higher fiber counts in limited spaces within data centers and will be incorporated into its optical communications offerings for AI infrastructure.

Corning said the system uses lens-based alignment instead of direct fiber contact, which is intended to support installation speed and improve reliability in dense network environments.

Shares of the company were down 3.8% in early Wednesday trading.
