Cornish Metals Up 0.75% In Afternoon UK Trade After Providing An Activities Update For South Crofty Tin Project

08:14 AM EDT, 09/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cornish Metals Inc. ( SBWFF ) was at last look up 0.75% in early afternoon UK trade after it earlier on Thursday provided an update on the progress of activities at South Crofty.

It said: "Excavation of the new process plant area commenced in August 2025, as planned. The work is currently focused on the initial phase of the excavation, which includes the topsoil removal and the handling and disposal of organic material in compliance with environmental regulations.

"Demolition of the old north winder house and dismantling of the old north winder have commenced, making way for construction of the new building in the coming months that will house the new production winder that has been ordered from Qualter Hall.

The company said in following on from a news release dated August 12, 2025, work on the mid-shaft pump station is progressing to plan with the work area secured and stabilisation of the underground chamber of the pump station complete. Removal of the old pumps, pipes and steelwork is underway in preparation for lifting to surface that will then enable the installation of new permanent pumps, it added.

CUSN was unchanged at $0.135 in Canada yesterday.
