Royal Caribbean Group (RCL) reported Q2 adjusted earnings Thursday of $3.21 per diluted share, up from $1.82 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.75.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $4.11 billion, up from $3.52 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $4.05 billion.

The company said it expects Q3 adjusted earnings per share of $4.90 to $5.00. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $4.77.

Royal Caribbean Group said it now expects 2024 adjusted earnings per share of $11.35 and $11.45. That compares with its previous range of $10.70 to $10.90. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ are looking for $11.07.

The company said its quarterly dividend has been reinstated, with the board approving a dividend of $0.40 per share, payable Oct. 11 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 20.
