08:19 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Covalon Technologies ( CVALF ) said Thursday that it will highlight its vascular access and dressings products at the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) conference in Rhode Island this week.
The products include ValGuard, a transparent, single-use barrier designed to cover and protect IV line connections and catheter hubs from external contaminants; CovaClear dressings, which are silicone dressings and IV Clear dressings that offer greater antimicrobial protection. IV Clear provides complete transparency to the insertion site, supporting routine assessment and better line management.
Last week, a peer-reviewed clinical study found Covalon's ( CVALF ) VALGuard vascular-access line guard significantly reduced central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs), including a sustained period of zero CLABSIs in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore in the U.S.
"Pediatric hematology and oncology patients already face so many challenges as part of their treatment journey. The risk of blood stream infections and other largely preventable complications should not be one of them," said chief executive officer Brent Ashton.
