12:37 PM EDT, 06/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) and Microsoft ( MSFT ) said Monday they are collaborating to align how cybersecurity threat actors are identified across their platforms.

The companies said they will create a shared mapping system that links various adversary names across both companies' ecosystems to reduce confusion caused by different naming systems used by security vendors.

This system allows faster and more accurate decision-making by helping security teams recognize threats more clearly and respond sooner, they added.

The collaboration has already unified over 80 threat actor names and aims to grow further by involving more cybersecurity partners, according to the companies.
