10:55 AM EDT, 05/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Crown Castle ( CCI ) investor Boots Capital Management on Tuesday urged shareholders to vote for its four director nominees at the upcoming annual meeting of shareholders on May 22, while Crown Castle ( CCI ) asked shareholders to support its 12 nominees.
Boots Capital nominees include Crown Castle ( CCI ) co-founder and former chief executive Ted Miller, according to a letter sent to Crown Castle ( CCI ) shareholders on Tuesday.
"Boots Capital's nominees, unlike the current directors, have the operational expertise to support Crown Castle's ( CCI ) new CEO and provide management with a go-forward tower operations plan," Boots Capital said in the letter.
Crown Castle ( CCI ) said in a letter to shareholders Tuesday that "Miller and his nominees do not possess any experience or skillsets that would be additive to the board's slate of highly qualified director nominees."
The company said Boots Capital owns only a 0.18% stake in Crown Castle ( CCI ) shares.
Shares in the cell tower owner and operator were 0.8% higher in recent trading.
