Cullen/Frost Bankers Shares Fall After Lower Q1 Earnings, Revenue

10:10 AM EDT, 04/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cullen/Frost Bankers ( CFR ) shares were down 2.7% in recent Thursday trading after the company posted lower Q1 earnings and revenue that also fell short of analysts' expectations.

The company reported Q1 earnings of $2.06 per diluted share, down from $2.70 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.08.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31, expressed as the sum of net interest income and total noninterest income, was $501.4 million, down from $505.1 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $513 million.

The company's board maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.92 per share, payable June 14 to shareholders of record as of May 31.
