10:39 AM EDT, 05/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cummins (CMI) and Isuzu Motors are launching a new 6.7-liter engine that they jointly developed for use in Isuzu's new medium-duty trucks, the companies said Monday.

The Isuzu DB6A engine will power on-highway truck applications built for Japan and will be available for Asia Pacific and other markets later in 2024, the companies said.

The companies said the DB6A is the first engine to be incorporated into the Forward medium-duty truck due to their agreement to partner globally in the medium-duty diesel powertrain segment.
