Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.22.

Net sales for the quarter ended June 30 were $1.97 billion, down from $2.24 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.80 billion.

The company maintained the quarterly dividend at $0.50 per share, payable on Aug. 19 to stockholders of record on Aug. 12.
