06:48 AM EDT, 04/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CVS Health ( CVS ) said Tuesday it has named Brian Newman as chief financial officer, starting May 12 and Amy Compton-Phillips as chief medical officer, starting May 19.

Before this appointment, Newman served as CFO of United Parcel Service. Newman is succeeding Tom Cowhey, who will serve as a strategic advisor to CEO David Joyner.

Compton-Phillips most recently served as chief physician executive of Press Ganey, CVS Health ( CVS ) said. In the past, Compton-Phillips also served as president and chief clinical officer at Providence Health & Services

Additionally, CVS Health ( CVS ) said it expects to meet or exceed its full-year 2025 guidance based on results through February.

CVS shares rose more than 7% in premarket trading.
