07:47 AM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- DAVIDsTEA ( DTEAF ) on Tuesday its said first quarter adjusted loss fell even as sales decreased.
On an adjusted basis, the net loss fell to $1.6 million or $0.06 per share, from $1.9 million or $0.07 per share in the prior year quarter. The loss of $2.6 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, was wider than the net loss of $2 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, last year.
Sales for the three months ended May 4 dipped 6.1% to $13.4 million from $14.3 million. Sales were impacted by unfavorable economic conditions that continued to dampen overall consumer demand, the company said.
