June 6 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on
Thursday:
** French jet engine maker and defence company Safran
said it had received clearance from Italy to buy
Microtecnica, the company which holds Collins Aerospace's flight
control assets in the country.
** UK's John Wood Group said on Wednesday its board
would discuss with Sidara on a sweetened takeover proposal and
grant the Dubai-based engineering and consulting firm access to
due diligence materials.
** Private equity firm Cinven is in exclusive talks with
Swedish rival EQT to buy Spain's largest online real
estate company Idealista, Spanish newspaper Expansion reported,
citing unidentified market sources.
** Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms ( RIOT ) said on Wednesday
it has acquired ownership of 12% stake in rival Bitfarms ( BITF )
.
** A U.S. judge in North Carolina has denied the U.S.
Federal Trade Commission's request to block Novant Health's $320
million acquisition of two hospitals in the state, a deal the
agency said would lead to higher prices and reduced innovative
care.
** Canadian fuel distributor Parkland said on
Wednesday it would sell its Canadian commercial propane business
to Avenir Energy for about C$115 million ($84.00 million) in
cash amid a push by investors for a strategic review of the
company.
