Oct 4 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported
by 0930 GMT on Friday:
** Italian pharma group Recordati said it would buy from Sanofi the
global rights to a drug used to treat cold agglutinin disease, a rare autoimmune disorder, for
$825 million, sending both stocks up in early trade.
** U.S. bank JPMorgan Chase & Co ( JPM ) has become a substantial shareholder in Star
Entertainment, an exchange filing showed, as shares of the embattled Australian casino
operator have fallen sharply in last few years amid liquidity issues.
** Private equity firm Apollo Global Management ( APO ) is in talks to acquire Barnes Group ( B )
, a manufacturer of aerospace components with a market value of about $2 billion, people
familiar with the matter said.
** U.S. utility firm Talen Energy ( TLN ) said it has bought TeraWulf's ( WULF ) minority
stake in a 200-megawatt (MW) bitcoin mining facility in Pennsylvania.
** Thomson Reuters ( TRI ), said it was selling its FindLaw business to Internet
Brands.
