Oct 9 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,

acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1400 GMT on

Wednesday:

** Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, one of the largest

shareholders in Thames Water, has written off its nearly 9.9%

stake in the troubled British utility, the Financial Times

reported.

** China's Zijin Mining Group will buy the Akyem

Gold Mine Project in Ghana from U.S.-based Newmont Corp NEM.N

for $1 billion, the companies said on Wednesday.

** Woodside Energy ( WDS ) said on Wednesday it has

completed the acquisition of U.S. liquefied natural gas

developer Tellurian, including its U.S. Gulf Coast LNG

export project, for $1.2 billion including debt.

** Shin Kong shareholders voted on Wednesday to

approve a merger with Taishin Financial by a wide margin, with

over 70% estimated to have voted in favor of the deal.

** Canada's Alimentation Couche-Tard (ACT)
