Nov 27 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,

acquisitions, and disposals were reported by 1030 GMT on

Wednesday:

** Standard Chartered ( SCBFF ) is exploring a potential

divestment of its wealth and retail banking operations in

Botswana, Uganda, and Zambia, as the banking giant restructures

its operations in a bid to trim costs.

** Canadian fund Brookfield has dropped its plan to take

over Spain's Grifols due to a disagreement over the

pharmaceutical company's value, a spokesperson for the Grifols

family told Reuters on Wednesday.

** Spanish airline Air Europa's owner, Globalia, said there

was an interest from Air France-KLM in potentially

taking a stake in the airline.
