April 7 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Monday:
** Chinese battery giant CATL is in talks to buy a
controlling stake in electric vehicle maker Nio's
power unit, which runs more than 3,000 battery swapping stations
in China, four people with knowledge of the matter told
Reuters.
** Woodside Energy ( WDS ), Australia's top gas producer, said
it agreed to sell a 40% stake in its Louisiana liquefied natural
gas plant to U.S. infrastructure investor Stonepeak for $5.7
billion.
** Japanese insurer Dai-ichi Life ( DCNSF ) said it had entered a
conditional agreement to buy a 15.1% stake in Australian peer
Challenger from MS&AD Insurance Group ( MSADF ) for 80
billion yen ($551.27 million).
** Australia's Abacus Storage King ( ABSKF ) said that it had
received an unsolicited takeover offer from a consortium
consisting of Ki Corporation and Public Storage ( PSA ), valuing
the target at A$1.93 billion ($1.16 billion).
