May 14 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on
Wednesday:
** Thai business magnate Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi's Frasers
Property made a second attempt to take complete
control of Frasers Hospitality Trust in a deal valuing
the REIT at S$1.37 billion ($1.1 billion).
** TotalEnergies has signed an agreement with
Norwegian investment company HitecVision to sell 50% of Polish
biogas producer Polska Grupa Biogazowa, the French oil major
said.
** Australia's Insignia Financial ( IOOFF ) said that Bain
Capital has pulled its buyout offer due to volatile financial
markets, but the money manager added it was still in talks with
another suitor, investment manager CC Capital.
** GSK will buy efimosfermin, a liver disease drug
in late-stage trials, for up to $2 billion from U.S.
biotechnology firm Boston Pharmaceuticals, the British drugmaker
said.
** MFE-MediaForEurope, the TV broadcaster
controlled by Italy's Berlusconi family, is considering raising
its offer for Germany's ProSiebenSat.1, a source
close to the matter said.
** Private equity firm GTCR has signed a definitive
agreement to acquire UK insurance broker JMG Group, in
partnership with existing investor Synova.
** Samsung Electronics ( SSNLF ) said it had agreed to buy
Germany's FlaktGroup for 1.5 billion euros ($1.68 billion) as it
looks to meet growing demand for cooling of data centres used
for artificial intelligence projects.
