May 29 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0940 GMT on
Thursday:
** Private equity investor Advent has entered exclusive
negotiations to acquire Paris-based broker Kereis from current
owner Bridgepoint.
** French oil major TotalEnergies said it agreed to
sell its 12.5% stake in the Bonga oilfield offshore Nigeria to
Shell, the field's operator, for $510 million.
** Britain's Argentex ( AGXTF ) said on Thursday former CEO Harry
Adams and Irish entrepreneur Terry Clune would not make a
takeover offer for the currency risk management company.
** The U.S. Federal Trade Commission said on Wednesday it
will require two software companies - Synopsys ( SNPS ) and
Ansys ( ANSS ) - to divest certain assets to resolve antitrust
concerns surrounding their $35 billion merger.
** BP's Castrol lubricants business is attracting
interest from companies such as India's Reliance Industries
, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing people
familiar with the matter.
** Japan's Nippon Telegraph and Telephone ( NPPXF ) will invest
about 110 billion yen ($755.49 million) in SBI Holdings ( SBHGF )
to acquire an 8.91% stake, as the two companies aim to integrate
their digital technology and financial services.
** Belgian oil tanker group CMB Tech is set to acquire
shipping firm Golden Ocean Group ( GOGL ) in a stock-for-stock
deal valued at $1.5 billion, the companies said on Wednesday.
** Model Hailey Bieber's makeup and skincare brand, Rhode, is
being snapped up by Elf Beauty ( ELF ) for about $1 billion,
giving the budget cosmetic retailer access to a
celebrity-endorsed product line that has become hugely popular
among Gen Z and millennials.
