June 12 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on
Thursday:
** Investment firm Gordon Brothers has acquired Pepco Group's
struggling Poundland business for a nominal value and
will invest up to 80 million pounds ($108.5 million) to help
fuel its turnaround, the companies said.
** A unit of Credit Agricole has agreed to buy
Petits-Fils, the leading provider of at-home services for
seniors in France, from Clariane, it said.
** Dana will sell its off-highway business to Allison
Transmission ( ALSN ) for $2.7 billion, the auto parts makers
said on Wednesday.
** An Italian court on Thursday rejected an appeal by Banco BPM
which had challenged the suspension of a takeover
offer it faces by rival UniCredit, the court's website
showed.
** Apollo Global Management ( APO ) and Irth Capital Management
have approached Papa John's International for a deal
that would take the U.S. pizza chain private, two people
familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
