August 1 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Friday:
** Norway's biggest utility, state-owned Statkraft, said it
had agreed to sell its renewables portfolio in Canada, Enerfin
Canada, to Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure for an
undisclosed sum.
** French life and health insurer AXA has agreed
to buy a 51% stake in Italian direct insurance group Prima for
500 million euros ($571 million) as it seeks to strengthen its
position in Italy's motor business, it said.
** Goldman Sachs ( GS ) is poised to buy into ice cream
maker Froneri at a 15-billion-euro ($17.13 billion) valuation
including debt, the Financial Times reported.
** Investor Ray Dalio sold his remaining stake in
Bridgewater Associates, the hedge fund he founded 50 years ago,
according to a letter sent to investors, while Brunei's
sovereign fund acquired a minority stake in the firm, a source
said.
** Blackstone Inc ( BX ) has emerged as the frontrunner to
buy energy-focused data provider Enverus for around $6 billion,
according to sources familiar with the matter.
