August 15 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Friday:
** Associated British Foods ( ASBFF ) has agreed to buy bread
brand Hovis from private equity firm Endless, bolstering the
group's loss-making Allied Bakeries unit which owns the
Kingsmill, Sunblest and Allinson's brands, it said.
** South Africa's Nedbank Group has agreed to sell its
21.2% stake in pan-African lender Ecobank to the
private investment vehicle of financier Alain Nkontchou for $100
million, it said.
** Accenture ( ACN ) said on Thursday it will buy Australian
cybersecurity firm CyberCX in its largest-ever deal in the
sector, with the Australian Financial Review valuing the
transaction at more than A$1 billion ($650 million).
