Deals of the Day-Mergers and acquisitions
Sep 12, 2025 3:14 AM

Sept 12 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,

acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Friday:

** Microsoft ( MSFT ) and OpenAI said on Thursday they have

signed a non-binding deal for new relationship terms that would

allow OpenAI to proceed to restructure itself into a for-profit

company, marking a new phase of the most high-profile

partnerships to fund the ChatGPT frenzy.

** Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) is preparing a bid to buy Warner

Bros Discovery ( WBD ), a source familiar with the matter told

Reuters on Thursday, potentially bringing together two storied

Hollywood studios and reshaping the entertainment industry.

** The liquidators of China Evergrande Group ( EGRNF ) have

received non-binding indicative offers for the developer's

majority stake in its property management arm, and potential

bidders will be invited to submit final offers as soon as

November, a filing showed.

** Spanish bank Sabadell's board unanimously

recommended its shareholders reject BBVA's hostile

takeover bid, a move that may add pressure on the rival to

increase its offer.

** Carro, Southeast Asia's largest used-car online marketplace,

is weighing a dual listing and plans to bulk up for it by

expanding into Australia and pursuing two to three acquisitions

as early as the next quarter, its CEO said.

** Late designer Giorgio Armani has instructed heirs to

gradually sell the fashion brand he created 50 years ago or seek

a stock market listing, his will said, marking a surprising turn

for a company highly protective of its independence and Italian

roots.
