September 16 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,

acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Tuesday:

** Australia's Peak Rare Earths ( PKREF ) said it approved a

takeover by Chinese rare earths producer Shenghe Resources

, choosing deal certainty with its top shareholder

over a higher but conditional U.S. offer.

** National Bank Holdings ( NBHC ) said on Monday it would

acquire smaller peer Vista Bank in a $369.1 million

cash-and-stock transaction, a move aimed at expanding the

regional lender's footprint in Texas.
