Oct 28 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Tuesday:
** French media group Banijay will buy a majority
stake in betting firm Tipico from private equity group CVC
, it said, in a move that will create one of Europe's
biggest online gaming operators.
** Ryan Specialty ( RYAN ) has acquired Canadian managing
general underwriter Stewart Specialty Risk Underwriters (SSRU)
in a deal that will see London-listed venture capitalist BP
Marsh receive C$51.9 million ($37.1 million) for its
28.2% shareholding in the firm.
** U.S. investment firm Long Path agreed to take British
software provider Idox private in a 339.5 million pound
($438 million) deal , offering shareholders 71.5 pence per share
in cash.
** Barclays will buy U.S. personal loan originator Best Egg
for $800 million, the British bank said, as it tries to add
scale in its personal banking business in the United States.
** Skyworks Solutions ( SWKS ), which supplies radio
frequency chips to Apple and other smartphone makers,
held talks in recent months to buy rival Qorvo ( QRVO ), The
Information reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
** FirstSun Capital Bancorp ( FSUN ) will buy First
Foundation in an all-stock deal valued at $785 million,
the companies said on Monday, as mergers and acquisitions within
regional banks accelerate amid credit concerns in the sector and
macroeconomic uncertainties.
** SAP, Europe's largest software provider,
offered to buy accounting software firm BlackLine ( BL ) for
nearly $4.5 billion in June but was rebuffed and is now
considering whether to pursue the company again, according to a
copy of the offer letter reviewed by Reuters and a person
familiar with the matter.
