Nov 24 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1030 GMT on Monday:
** BHP abandoned a last-ditch effort to buy rival Anglo
American and bolster its dominance in copper, just two
weeks before Anglo and Teck Resources' shareholders were set to
vote on a $60 billion merger.
** Monash IVF Group ( MNIVF ) said it had rejected an offer from
a consortium that valued the Australian fertility services
provider at A$311.7 million ($201.11 million), sending its
shares soaring to a six-month high.
** Qube Holdings ( QUBHF ) said that Macquarie Asset Management,
a unit of Macquarie, submitted a non-binding proposal
to acquire all issued shares of Qube ( QUBHF ) for A$5.20 in cash per
share, valuing the company at A$11.6 billion ($7.49 billion),
including debt.
