Deere to pay $9.93 million to settle US SEC bribery probe
Sep 11, 2024 3:37 AM

(Reuters) - Deere agreed to pay $9.93 million to settle a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission probe into violations of a federal bribery law, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the regulator said on Tuesday.

The settlement resolves charges that from late 2017 through 2020, Deere subsidiary Wirtgen Thailand made improper payments to foreign government officials, including at the Royal Thai Air Force and the Department of Highways, to win business, and also engaged in commercial bribery.
