Defense Metals Names Mark Tory Chief Executive Officer

05:22 PM EST, 11/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Defense Metals ( DFMTF ) after trade Monday said it appointed Mark Tory as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1.

Tory will relocate to Vancouver and report to the company's board of directors. He will lead the development of the Wicheeda project as the company works towards completing its prefeasibility study, with results expected in Q1 2025.

The 100% owned project covers 8,301 hectares and is located in the traditional territory of the McLeod Lake Indian Band in British Columbia, Canada, the company said.

Tory has extensive experience in the resources sector and previously served as chief financial officer and CEO at Northern Minerals, where he led the development of the Browns Range rare earth project, the company added.
