02:24 PM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Delek US Holdings ( DK ) filed a lawsuit against Marex Group ( MRX ) and BTX Energy, alleging its El Dorado refinery in Arkansas took delivery of contaminated crude oil from the companies, resulting in more than $30 million in damages, according to media reports citing the complaints.

Marex ( MRX ) was named in the suit as guarantor of a supply deal through its Pinnacle Fuel unit, while BTX's terminal allegedly stored the crude prior to delivery, Bloomberg reported Monday.

In a Texas district court filing, Delek said it began purchasing crude from Pinnacle Fuel in January with deliveries routed through BTX's terminal in Winnie, Texas, Reuters reported.

Marex ( MRX ) filed a petition to shift the case to federal court, the reports said.

Delek US ( DK ), Marex ( MRX ), BTX Energy and Pinnacle Fuel didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
