08:45 AM EDT, 05/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Dell Technologies ( DELL ) and Ericsson (ERIC) said Thursday they are partnering to support communications service providers, or CSPs, in their transition to cloud-based telecom networks.

The partnership will involve developing customized network cloud infrastructure plans, advising CSPs on their cloud transformation journeys, and deploying Ericsson's Cloud RAN software on Dell servers to co-develop strategies for Open radio access network infrastructure, the companies said.

Shares of Dell were up more than 6% in recent Thursday premarket activity while Ericsson advanced 0.3%.
