01:25 PM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- A Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) co-pilot was arrested in the cockpit of a plane Saturday night, shortly after the plane landed at the San Francisco International airport, multiple media outlets reported Sunday.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed in an email to The New York Times on Monday that it had arrested a pilot at the airport on charges related to child sex abuse materials. The pilot's name was not disclosed.

Law enforcement officers boarded Flight 2809 shortly after it arrived in San Francisco from Minneapolis Saturday night, according to the reports.

Delta did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
