Delta Air Lines' Q1 Adjusted Earnings, Operating Revenue Increase; Sets Q2 Outlook -- Shares Rise Premarket

07:12 AM EDT, 04/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) reported Q1 adjusted earnings Wednesday of $0.45 per diluted share, up from $0.25 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.37.

Operating revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $13.75 billion, up from $12.76 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $12.86 billion.

The company said it expects Q2 adjusted EPS of $2.20 to $2.50 and 5% to 7% in revenue growth. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $2.24 in adjusted EPS.

Delta said it continues to expect fiscal 2024 adjusted EPS of $6 to $7. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ are looking for $6.46.

Shares of Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) were up nearly 5% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
