07:34 AM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- A Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) regional jet, operated by SkyWest ( SKYW ) , avoided a potential midair collision with a US Air Force B-52 bomber in North Dakota Friday, news outlets reported, citing SkyWest ( SKYW ).

The flight was en route Minot Airport, North Dakota, from Minneapolis, when it performed a go-around maneuver before landing safely, the reports added, citing a SkyWest ( SKYW ) statement.

"SkyWest ( SKYW ) flight 3788, operating as Delta Connection from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Minot, North Dakota on July 18, landed safely in Minot after being cleared for approach by the tower but performed a go-around when another aircraft became visible in their flight path," Bloomberg News reported, citing the regional jet operator, adding that the incident is under investigation.

Delta Air referred MT Newswires to SkyWest ( SKYW ) for comment, while the latter did not immediately respond.
