11:59 AM EDT, 10/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) said Wednesday it has signed a codeshare agreement with Saudia Airlines, allowing "greater connectivity" between the US and the Middle East.

The companies have applied for necessary code-sharing authority and will begin selling codeshare itineraries after receiving all government approvals, Delta Air said.

The company's shares were down about 2.5% in recent trading.
