Delta extends pause on New York-Tel Aviv flights through month-end
Mar 12, 2026 6:19 AM

March 12 (Reuters) - Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) said on Thursday it was extending the pause on its New York-Tel Aviv service till the end of the month.

Escalating tensions in the Middle East have disrupted global aviation since late February, when U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran triggered retaliatory attacks and airspace closures across parts of the region.

Airlines have suspended flights to Israel and several Gulf hubs, or rerouted, as governments impose flight restrictions and carriers reassess safety risks.

Delta paused its service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport late February, in response to the conflict.

The carrier also said it was delaying resumption of its flights from Atlanta to Tel Aviv through August 4.
